HYDERABAD : Samachara Bharati Cultural Association is organising the 2nd Edition of “KAKATIYA FILM FESTIVAL”, a short film festival on 22nd December 2018 at Hyderabad. The purpose is to promote Social responsibility , Social values and Family ethos which are the core of Bharat’s Culture. The Film festival offers the new generation filmmakers to present their views through Short-Films.
The festival aims to bring to fore creative talent of the youth and provide them with an opportunity to showcase their thoughts, empathy and breadth of vision on the themes like The themes for this competition are:
- Bharatiya Culture and Values
- National and Social Awareness
- Women Empowerment
- Constructive Work
- Environment
Registration for the short film competition is free. As a gesture of encouragement, we are awarding prize money for the following categories ..
Short Film :
Best Short Film : Rs 51,000/- ;
2nd Best Short Film – Rs 21,000/-
3rd Best short film – Rs.11,000/-
This year, 2 new categories have been started viz.,
Documentaries and Campus films / Quickies.
Prize Money for Best documentary – Rs.21,000/-
Prize Money for Best Campus Film/ Quickie – Rs.11,000/-
The films & documentaries can be made in Telugu, Hindi, English or can also be silent. Short films shall not exceed 20 minutes in time & documentaries 30 minutes or less . The content submitted must be her/his original work. The submission of entries ends on 30th November 2018. The selected films will be screened on 22nd December, 2018 at Prasad Labs Preview Theatre.
